Here we are! Happy MSP Awareness Week to all of us/you. Keep on doing what you do so well.
Our healthcare system made a decision in 2013 to establish a CVO to manage the hospitals' credentialing. I was the founding director, and it was quite the task to create a new department while simultaneously meeting all deadlines at four hospitals during the transition. We have had many changes and challenges over these last ten years, including leadership and staff changes. Some of us left the department and have since boomeranged! Besides I as director, we have Lametrius "Meme" Baker-Greene (initial appointments) and Kelly Wagner (reappointments) who were part of the original team and are together again, along with Bridget Howard (initial appointments), Maureen Gilzean (reappointments), Brittany Wright (reappointments), and LaVonya Roach (reappointments). We average having approximately 2,300 providers on staff.
South Florida is a melting pot of cultures, lifestyles, generations, and industries. We are pleased to incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion in our department, reflective of the variety of providers with whom we work and credential. This allows us to broaden our minds and develop innovative and accommodating methods of meeting our customers' needs, and we are incredibly grateful for the support of our leadership to allow us to think and act creatively.
Collectively, we have a team of seven dedicated MSPs that constantly strive for excellent customer service, attention to details, and timeliness. We have developed our department's purpose statement of "We ensure exceptional healthcare providers," and we live by that each day.
